A Little Too "Cloche"...

Hosted by Marty

As of late, time is just not on my side, but I couldn't break a promise to join a great party, right? Right! So, though I couldn't afford any real cloche out there, I did manage to find a great alternative. Yay!!!

I needed something small but worthy of using a cloche on so I thought and I thought... Hmmm... Aha! My most important bling! Not money wise, but sentiments wise.

See, the ring is my "upgraded-after 10 years of marriage" wedding ring (and cause I lost the original one. *very sad face*; my mom's ruby earrings for my eldest and the gold bracelet that my baby sister gave me, just because... It's been raining here so the lighting is just horrible.

See how they look in my cloche.

Ha ha, it's an upside down crystal water goblet called "Rose Serenade" by Gorham.

Doesn't it look like a fancy cloche when you don't see the stem?

Proof time... Before it was washed. Found it at Tuesday Morning. Details, next Thursday. But knowing me, I got it at a great deal!

Marty, thanks for being a great host for this party, and so sorry I'M LATE... Thanks for visiting y'all!
TABLESCAPING IDEA: ("Brain" is sleepy...) Just like in this party, there are always alternatives, so find one for every great idea you see in magazines. Sometimes, yours turn out better.

  1. Hi Chandy! How fun to see your name on my blog!! Don't feel bad...I've been very busy, too. I don't seem to be able to post or visit as much as before. I love your cloche idea! You got a beautiful bargain there! And what treasures you have put under it...priceless!! Have a wonderful weekend...hugs...Debbie

  2. Oh Chandy you clever little thing you. Love the sentimental collection you put together. Isn't it amazing what a little glass will do for things that we already have? I so love it. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by and see my cloche collection. I would so love to share with you. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry

  3. Chandy, you are so clever. I LOVE it. What a great idea. Now I think the goblet makes a perfect cloche. I say one that had a short stem and someone had tied a ribbon around the stem and then set a little glass knob on the flat party of the glass bottom. When it was turned upside down like yours, I honestly thought it was a cloche. I love you for joining the party, you are so creative. Hugs, Marty

  4. Creative Chandy! Come see mine, their all home-made! Cindy

  5. Great! I love using goblets to cover goodies. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Great idea Chandy! You always pull off the most interesting and pretty ideas.

  10. Chandy, Beautiful jewelry and how creative to use the beautiful water glass. I did a couple of cloches, but never got the pictures taken.

    Time is everyone's eenemy.

    Good Job.

  11. :-) It works! I kinda like the idea of it too. Wouldn't it be a great display when glasses are grouped together like this? Each showcasing a different thing. Maybe the brain can come up with a great table setting/centerpiece for your future tablescape.:-)

You know...I actually seen this idea used somewhere (the goblet turned upside down and displaying a pretty) on a tablescape! They had several goblets used as a centerpiece...then on top of the goblet stem...they placed little votive candles! It was really pretty and I innovative!!!
