"He/She Likes It!"
Blue and Green
Hello, still can't do much visiting, but I thought I'd join in on the fun anyway! I did this table because last June 21st, it was both Father's Day and our middle daughter's 10th birthday. I needed a neutral table to appease both. I also wanted to use my blue and white Asian mini platters and the goblets from Dollar Tree like Susan's. Only, by the time I got there and decided to grab some, I only had the water goblets and martini glasses to choose from... I also had this blue pot that's been with us since 2005 and the plant that's thriving. It looked great together!
Everywhere, I used blue and green but opted for no tablecloth.
I decided to create a focal point centerpiece again so we can focus on the dinner.
Hope you liked my other "Two-In-One" tablescape. The last one was back in January: Hubby's birthday and Chinese New Year!
Thanks to both of our darling hosts, Susan and Leigh!
Glad you all stopped by!
How very elegant! The blue and white dinnerware with the moss green place mats is wonderful. The candle light illuminating the wood grain of the table adds warmth. Love it!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I like this blog and ...I like the straight forwardness of this blog. sooo..there you have it!
ReplyDeleteAlso...the blue napkins with the blue trim on the place mats brought it all together. That's my take on it.

Just beautiful. You can't beat the blue and green combo. I love your thrift goblets and the oblong dishes are super. Love the use of the different shape.
ReplyDeleteChandy, I love the pretty blue and green. Your platters are so pretty and I was so bummed when all they had left at the Dollar Tree was the martini glasses. So glad you got some of the goblets. Your plant is just gorgeous. I really enjoyed a sneak peek at the beautifully decorated buffet. You have a gorgeous vignette displayed there. Have a fun, save and blessed 4th. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteChandy, such a lovely table. I love the simplicity and calmness of your table.

ReplyDeleteI came back by to mention that I am hosting a Christmas in July Tablescape Party at my Playing Dishes blog. There will be one held each Saturday this month. Please come and participate or at least visit. A holiday tablecloth will be given away on the last Saturday, July 25. Info on signups is available by clicking my sidebar memes available on both my blogs.
ReplyDeleteI am also having a weekly Christmas giveaway at my Christmas Memories in My Heart blog. Weekly entries are closed out a midnight on Wednesday for this.
Hopefully some of you tablescape regulars will pull together a tablescape for CIJ or pull out some photos from last year to post.
Happy CIJ!
Chandy,
ReplyDeleteI really like the blue and green combination you used for this tablescape. I think you came up with a very good solution to keep it neutral. Those blue and white plates are such a neat shape and I love your dollar store goblets!
